How this one works
- i.
Think in pairs
Click-click, pause, click-click. A tidy rhythm beats frantic tapping because loose singles never score.
- ii.
300 ms window
That is roughly the default double-click speed on Windows and macOS, so the test matches what your system expects.
- iii.
Spot a faulty switch
If single clicks keep registering as pairs outside a round, your mouse switch may be chattering.

- Why is my DPS lower than my CPS?
- Each pair needs two clicks, so DPS is roughly half of your CPS. The animal ranks are scaled to account for that.
- Can this detect double-click problems?
- It can help. Click slowly and deliberately; if pairs appear when you only clicked once, the switch is worth checking.
