CPS Test

The classic benchmark. Hit the dial as fast as you can until the ring runs out — your clicks divided by the seconds on the clock is your CPS.

How this one works

  1. i.

    Pick a clock

One second shows raw burst speed. Ten seconds is the most common benchmark you will see quoted online.

  2. ii.

    Stay in the circle

Only presses that land on the dial count, so keep the pointer centred instead of chasing the edge.

  3. iii.

    Read the tally

Your last twelve rounds stay on the tally sheet, with a small trend line so you can see whether you are improving.

Questions

What is a good CPS?
Most people land between 6 and 8 CPS on a ten-second round. Anything above 10 is quick; sustained scores above 14 usually need jitter or butterfly technique.
Does the timer start immediately?
No. The clock waits for your first click, so you never lose time moving the mouse onto the dial.
